Krug Grande Cuvée was born from the dream of one man, Joseph Krug, to offer the best Champagne every year, regardless of climatic variations. Since 1843, the Maison Krug has honored this vision with a new edition of Krug Grande Cuvée: the most generous expression of Champagne. The Edition number corresponds to the number of times the founder's dream has been recreated at Maison Krug. It also serves as a reference point for collectors, who like to put bottles aside. Krug Grand Cuvée 168 Edition is an assembly of 198 selected wines from 11 different vintages. The youngest dates back to 2012, while the oldest is from 1996. The rest of about seven years in the Krug cellars gives Krug Grande Cuvée 168ème Édition a remarkable expression and elegance. A bright and elegant golden color, a lively perlage, a promise of pleasure. Aromas of freshly blossomed flowers, citrus, ripe and dried fruit, as well as marzipan and gingerbread. Hints of walnut, hazelnut, brown sugar, compote of citrus fruit, almonds, brioche and honey.
