The perfect porous structure on the inside holds precious little cubes of Calabrian candied orange and Cinque Corone raisins, combining with and enhancing aromatic hints of butter and vanilla. An exquisite amaretto glaze of powdered almonds and hazelnuts made even more scrumptious by a touch of cocoa tops the cake together with raw almonds and granulated sugar.
